The theme of 2026 APEM conference is “ICU Early Rehabilitation-Setting Teamwork for Patient Recovery”

During this conference, we want to enhance the APEM research and data sharing platform. We also set up the EXPO and the workshops for early rehabilitation.

This is a two day course including all the lectures and workshops. All the attendees can have a hand on practice during the workshops.

On the first day. We will have lectures by experts in early rehabilitation from Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Japanese Society for Early Mobilization, and experts from Korea, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal and Thailand. On the second day, we have Chinese workshops in the morning and English workshops in the afternoon.

In the workshops we will have hand-on practice about:

• Baxtar Hillrom Progressa+

• ARJO Sara Plus with tube fixators

• Belt electrode skeletal muscle electrical stimulation (G-TES)

• Sonography for evaluation of muscle loss in ICU and how to evaluate the diaphragm

• How to do rehab program on ECMO cases

• InBody survey for sarcopenia

• Breakfast seminar demonstrate how to do cardiac function monitoring for cardiac rehabilitation patients

• Luncheon seminar for BIA muscle assessment for the ICU patients
